Summary
Extramath does not require registration, does not show ads, and keeps learning progress on the user's device. Optional, privacy-minimal analytics help Aksimath understand which sections are used and where sessions stop, without sending names, contact details, exact math facts, or answers.
Data Stored by the App
The app stores data on the user's device to support the learning experience:
- selected learning segment and practice settings;
- results from level checks, daily practice, and review sessions;
- local progress by topics and math facts;
- the analytics on/off preference and in-app review cooldown.
This data is stored in browser local storage or Android WebView storage on the user's device. Aksimath does not receive raw answers, individual math facts, or the full local progress record through analytics.
Android App Analytics
If anonymous usage statistics are enabled in Settings, the installed Android app sends first-party product events over HTTPS. Events may include app and screen opens, selected learning section, practice start, coarse progress milestones, completion or abandonment, aggregate counts of slow or incorrect attempts, language, app version, store channel, and a coarse phone/tablet category.
The Android analytics payload does not contain the learner's local user ID, advertising ID, name, contact details, exact math facts, typed answers, or the full progress record. A random session identifier is created for the current app launch and is not a persistent user identifier. Network and cloud infrastructure may process technical connection data such as an IP address to deliver and secure the request.
Accepted product analytics records are kept in a dedicated operational cloud log for up to 30 days and in a private analytics archive for up to 180 days, after which they expire automatically.
Anonymous usage statistics can be turned off at any time in Settings. Turning them off removes any unsent analytics queue from the device.
What the App Does Not Do
- does not require an account, name, email address, or phone number;
- does not use advertising SDKs or third-party analytics SDKs;
- does not include in-app purchases;
- does not request access to location, camera, microphone, contacts, SMS, call log, or user files.
Website Analytics
When the public website or hosted web app is opened over HTTP or HTTPS, Aksimath may receive first-party analytics events such as page views, app section changes, language, coarse viewport type, activity start and completion, total question count, and correct answer count.
The public website and hosted web app may use Yandex.Metrica counter 110418987 for page and link measurement. Session replay (Webvisor) and click maps are disabled, so typed answer digits are not recorded by those features. Yandex.Metrica may still set cookies and process technical data such as IP address, user agent, page URL, referrer, and device or viewport information.
The Yandex.Metrica code is injected only into the deployed public website and hosted web app. It is not included in the installed Android app bundle, which opens bundled local files. The hosted learning app applies the same anonymous-statistics preference from Settings.
Google Play, RuStore, Updates, and Reviews
The Android version uses Google Play In-App Updates. If the app is installed from Google Play, Google Play may process technical data to check whether an update is available and estimate the update size.
According to Google's Play Core In-App Updates documentation, this may include device metadata, the application version, and the list of installed modules and asset packs. Google states that this data is encrypted in transit, is not transferred to third parties, and is deleted following a fixed retention period. Aksimath does not receive this data from Google Play.
After enough completed practice on separate days, the app may ask Google Play or RuStore to show its standard in-app review interface. The store controls whether the interface appears and processes the review. Extramath does not ask for a particular rating and does not learn which rating, if any, was submitted.
Deleting Local Data
The user can delete learning progress with the reset progress button in the app settings. The user can also clear app data in Android settings or remove website data in the browser.
