Summary
Extramath does not require registration, does not show ads, and keeps learning progress on the user's device. The public website and hosted web app may use first-party analytics and Yandex.Metrica with Webvisor to understand usage, reliability, and interface issues.
Data Stored by the App
The app stores data on the user's device to support the learning experience:
- selected learning segment and practice settings;
- results from level checks, daily practice, and review sessions;
- local progress by topics and math facts.
This data is stored in browser local storage or Android WebView storage on the user's device. Aksimath does not receive raw answers, individual math facts, or the full local progress record through analytics.
What the App Does Not Do
- does not require an account, name, email address, or phone number;
- does not use advertising SDKs or third-party analytics SDKs;
- does not include in-app purchases;
- does not request access to location, camera, microphone, contacts, SMS, call log, or user files.
Website Analytics
When the public website or hosted web app is opened over HTTP or HTTPS, Aksimath may receive first-party analytics events such as page views, app section changes, language, coarse viewport type, activity start and completion, total question count, and correct answer count.
The public website at https://aksimath.com/ and the hosted web app at https://aksimath.com/extramath/ use Yandex.Metrica counter 110418987 with Webvisor, click map, link tracking, and bounce tracking. Yandex.Metrica may set cookies and process technical data such as IP address, user agent, page URL, referrer, device and viewport information, clicks, scrolling, and session replay records. Webvisor session replay may include interface interactions and typed answer digits, but the app does not ask for the child's name, email address, phone number, or other contact details.
The Yandex.Metrica code is injected only into the deployed public website and hosted web app. It is not included in the installed Android app bundle, which opens bundled local files. Analytics is disabled in the installed Android app.
Google Play and Updates
The Android version uses Google Play In-App Updates. If the app is installed from Google Play, Google Play may process technical data to check whether an update is available and estimate the update size.
According to Google's Play Core In-App Updates documentation, this may include device metadata, the application version, and the list of installed modules and asset packs. Google states that this data is encrypted in transit, is not transferred to third parties, and is deleted following a fixed retention period. Aksimath does not receive this data from Google Play.
Deleting Local Data
The user can delete learning progress with the reset progress button in the app settings. The user can also clear app data in Android settings or remove website data in the browser.
